Meeting called to order at 6:30pm. Thirty two members present.

N4C has announced a special black and white digital contest. Eight images only per club may be entered
in the event. Information regarding the contest may be found under the “Blog” tag on the club web site.

Trish Place reports, after a recent drive to Squaw Creek, that there are lots of birds migrating through
the area. If you happen to be traveling that way check it out.

Our next meeting, March 6th, will be the second and final print competition for the year. Tim White
indicates that we have 51 entries.

Two new items for discussion:

Now that the new equipment has arrived we are needing protective carry cases. Sandy Wentworth has
offered a leather case to be used for the laptop. Discussion on a case for the projector; motion by Guy
Rish, second by Gary Prill, all in favor that we purchase a new case for our projector. Gary will let us
know what he finds.

Tim White, Paul Evans and Don Cross have volunteered to be the committee that will review and
present changes that need to be made to our bylaws. Specifically, Article III, Section 4 which
addresses the age of participants for holding office and competitions. The bylaws may be found under
the “member pages” – “documents”. Anyone having suggestion, please contact Tim, Paul or Don.

This evening is our “speed critique” meeting. Thanks to everyone for bringing prints, flash drives and
IPads to share their images. This is a perfect way to discuss ideas for improving our technique. Nice job
everyone!

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Thirty members and guests present.

The meeting on February 21st will be a “show and tell”. Mel has a “speed critique” set up for February
28th. Start getting your images ready to share.

March 6th is the second and last print competition for the year. Our guest judge is Alyssa Schukar, World
Herald photographer. Tim White and Larry Headley are busy organizing the show.

This evening is the February digital competition reveal. Well done everyone – nice group of images.

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm. Thirty one members and guests present.

The laptop and projector that the membership voted to purchase has arrived. Gary Prill is checking the
new equipment to make sure it is in proper working order.

Larry Headley has volunteered to take over the N4C position from Mel Mann. Many thanks to both of
you – Mel for a job well done and Larry for continuing forward.

Our next meeting, February 28th, will be speed critique. You may bring up to 3 images per person.
Prints 8x10 or larger; images may also be presented on a laptop or IPad. Give it a try and join in the fun.

The program meeting for March will be presented by Bill Ramsey (KETV). “Picture Essays – A journey
through life with a camera in hand”. This will be a wonderful opportunity to bring friends or potential
new members to a meeting.

The “Eagle Cam” is back, up and running at Decorah, Iowa. Don’t miss out on the fun of “eagle watch”.
Three eggs and counting!

Our meeting this evening is “Show & Tell”. Thanks to all – we filled up every minute of our time this
evening with wonderful images. Special thanks to the Bello boys for sharing their images from the zoo.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Thirty one members and guests present.

Discussion began at our meeting on January 17th regarding the purchase of a new laptop and projector
for the club. After further discussion by the group, a motion was made by Tim White, second by Gary
Prill and “yes” vote by all present, to purchase both items. Gary Prill will continue to research for the
best possible price and the items will be ordered.

Mel Mann needs a volunteer to take charge of the N4C judging in the nature category. If you are able to
help, please contact Mel or Trish Place.

Gary Prill presented a program this evening on web photo sharing. There are many fine sites on the
web. He suggested the following sites: photography bay.com, dropshots.com, fotko.com, dpchallenge
and fine art America. Thank you Gary for all the information.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Thirty four members and guests present.

Mel Mann will present a “speed critique” session at our meeting on February 28th. Please bring up to
three images, digital or print, to the meeting. This is a fun way for everyone to get involved with the
“how to improve my work” question.

Discussions have begun on the purchase of two new pieces of equipment for the club. For your
consideration:

Acer laptop - $650.00

Epson Projector (with DVD) - $800.00

Let your thoughts and suggestions be known. More info to follow.

Discussions have also begun on “ideas and fun stuff” for next club year. Reinstate the “Open” category;
four images in any one category; classes covering the assigned subjects, e. g. HDR, light painting, etc.
prior to the assigned category deadline. Critique only meetings, recognition for print makers on our
web site, club field trips and anything else you would like to recommend. Our May business meetings
are on the horizon.

The Wolverine slide and negative converter has arrived. Please contact Rich Riddelke, Equipment
Manager, if interested.

Images for February digital competition are due to Don Cross by January 3rd. The assigned subject for
February is HDR.

The next print competition is scheduled for March 6th. Four prints per maker and the assigned subject is
stop action. Please bring your prints to any meeting. The cutoff date is the first meeting in February –
the 7th. Tim White and Larry Headley are co-print chairpersons.

There will be a special digital competition for January, 2012. These will be the assigned subjects only for both color and monochrome. Light painting, holiday lights, portraits and night time. Please have your images to Don by Sunday, December 11th.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Thirty three members present.

Paul Evans has a showing of 25 prints on display now through February of 2012; Fort
Omaha Campus in Building #10.

Negative & 35mm slide image converter - Discussion had, motion by Gary Prill, second
by Sandy Wentworth, all in favor - a Wolverine 14 mega pixel converter will be ordered.
You may "check out" this new piece of club equipment from Rich Fiddelke in the near
future.

This evenings meeting is the first of two scheduled print competitions. There are a total of 76 prints submitted for this competition. We welcome Matt Miller, Omaha World Herald photographer, as our judge for the evening. Congratulations to all – special congrats to Larry Cameron who received “Best of Show” for his entry of Butterfly Moth & Thistle. Well done everyone! Thanks Matt for your critique and impressions of our work.

Tim White suggested that a “Best of Show” award be given to a print submitted for competition at our November meeting. Discussion had, vote taken, all in favor of a “Best of Show” award. At the end of the evening’s competition each of the first place winners will be shown again for the selection of this award.

Our program this evening is presented by Rich Fiddelke – Lightroom, Photoshop and plug-in techniques. Thank you, Rich. The creative possibilities are endless.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Forty one members and guests present.

Rich Fiddelke will present a program on plug- ins, Photoshop and Lightroom at the October 25^th meeting. Bring your notebooks, I’m sure Rich will have plenty of information to share with the group.

Paul Evans has a group of images on display at Silver of Oz in the Benson business district. Stop in and check it out when you are in the area.

As a reminder, a total of six prints may be turned in by each maker for the print competition in November. Assigned subject for December is motion.
